Bette Leland cgvh43b 3/4 c Shortening
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 c Bananas mashed
1/2 ts Salt
2 c Cake flour sifted
1 ts Soda
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Buttermilk
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Pecans chopped
Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs beat 2 minutes. Add mashed bananas beat 2 minutes. Sift dry ingredients together add to creamed mi ture along with buttermilk and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes. Stir in nuts. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 inch round layer cake pans. Bake 25 30 minutes. Cool layers. Fill and frost as desired.
