1/2 c Brown sugar (packed)
1/4 c Margarine or butter
(softened) 1 c Bisquick baking mi
1/2 c Chopped walnuts
1 pk Cream cheese (8oz) softened
1/4 c Granulated sugar
1 tb Lemon juice
2 ts Milk
1/2 ts Vanilla
1 Egg

FROM THE KITCHEN OF: Gary and amp Margie Hartford Eugene, Oregon Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease square pan, 8 8 2 inches. Beat brown sugar and margarine until fluffy. Stir in baking mi and walnuts until mi ture is crumbly reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mi ture in pan. Bake 12 minutes. Mi cheese and granulated sugar beat in reaining ingredients until smooth. Spread cream cheese mi ture overlayer in pan sprinkle withreserved crumbly mi ture. Bake until center is firm, about 25 minutes. Cut into about 2 inch squares. Store cookies in refrigator. 16 cookies. NOTE: High altitude directions (3500 to 6500 ft), Heat oven to 375 degrees. From: The recipe files of General Mills Inc. (1981) Shared 7/93

1/3 c Butter 1/2 c Fresh mushrooms (any type) 1/2 c Finely chopped onion 2 tb Dry sherry or vermouth 3 oz Cream cheese softened 1/4 c Minced fresh parsley In a fry pan, melt butter over med. heat, add mushrooms and onions. Cook until mushrooms are browned (10 15 min.), stirring often. Mi in sherry. Remove from heat,set aside. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and parsley until blended, and then add mushroom mi ture. Blend. (If you want the pieces of mushroom, just stir. I like to Cuisinart in, so it's the same consistency as pate.) Refrigerate, and serve with breads or cracke...
